After the 2016 election, Schimel bragged Trump had won in Wisconsin thanks to restrictions on the right to vote that the GOP passed and Schimel helped enforce as Attorney General.

Schimel even jetted to Florida for a weekend away at Mar-A-Lago with the Republican Attorneys General Association—  a shadowy political group that later helped organize Stop The Steal protests in DC on January 6th.

BRAD SCHIMEL FOUGHT TO OVERTURN OBAMACARE

As Attorney General, Brad Schimel led Wisconsin into a disastrous lawsuit seeking to overturn the Affordable Care Act as unconstitutional and gut protections for those with preexisting conditions.

Thanks to the ACA, hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites have been able to access affordable coverage for themselves and their families. More than 800,000 Wisconsinites with a preexisting condition are protected from being denied coverage. Brad Schimel called the ACA a “train wreck.”

Schimel was so proud of himself, he even used his attacks on health care in Wisconsin to try and fundraise for his campaign.

With Brad Schimel on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Wisconsin families would be left at the mercy of insurance companies and big pharma.

BRAD SCHIMEL SUED TO ENFORCE NEW ABORTION RESTRICTIONS

Even before Roe was overturned, Brad Schimel was suing to enforce new restrictions on access to safe and legal abortion in Wisconsin. Schimel wasted more than a million taxpayer dollars on an extreme, partisan lawsuit seeking to enforce new restrictions on abortion access in Wisconsin signed into law by failed former Governor Scott Walker.

Brad Schimel even said it was an “honor to have a case named Planned Parenthood v. Schimel.”

We don’t need an anti-abortion extremist like Brad Schimel on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

“BACKLOG BRAD” LET THOUSANDS OF UNTESTED SEXUAL ASSAULT KITS PILE UP

As Attorney General, Brad Schimel didn’t care about keeping Wisconsinites safe. Schimel let thousands of untested rape kits pile up under his watch, delaying justice for victims of sexual assault—including more than 2,000 children—and allowing violent offenders to walk free.

In his first two years in office, Brad Schimel tested only 9 out of over 6,000 untested rape kits and lied about it in an effort to mislead the public about his own incompetence.

Rather than ask for more resources to address the backlog, Brad Schimel instead “wait[ed] for a bargain price” on kit testing—even as he spent $10,000 in taxpayer funds on commemorative coins emblazoned with his own personal motto: Kick Ass Every Day.

Nobody with a record of failed leadership on public safety belongs anywhere near the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
